New letterpress poster titled Dia de los Muertos printed by Denver based letterpress printer, Genghis Kern and illustrated by Shaw Nielsen. The beautiful 2-color poster was printed on an Asbern Proof Press. You can buy one from Shaw Nielsen at his store for only $35.

Brooklyn based artist and wallpaper designer Dan Funderburgh released a beautiful two color screen print & letterpress combination poster. Printed on Crane’s Lettra paper at 16.5″ x 24.5″ Prints are signed and numbered by Dan and are only available in an edition of 75. Buy one at Arkitip for $75.

On 3.27.2010, AIGA Cleveland and Cranky Pressman held Cranky Camp. Cranky Camp is a 6 hour letterpress printing workshop where visitors are allowed to dig into wood and metal type, digbats and cuts, to make themselves a poster. Some of the results can be found on the Cranky Pressman’s Flickr page. Very cool to see people opening their shops for all that are interested. Jessica Hische hand printed these amazing, amazing two color letterpress posters at The Arm in New York. Based off her Daily Drop Caps, this limited edition of 75 was printed on Crane’s 110lb Lettra and is signed and numbered with the note “first and only edition.” Beautiful work from Jessica again. Buy one for yourself at her store for $225.

These letterpress prints by Stukenborg are amazing. Each print was letterpressed on a Vandercook by arranging over 1000 hand-inked dice per poster. Printed on white Stonehenge paper with deckle edges, the posters range in size from 16.75 x 20.75 ($100) to 22 x 26 ($250). Each pattern was printed in a limited edition of 10. New letterpress print, “Sugar Skull Letterpress”, by Cody Langford at It’s Fancy and David Lozeau. Based on an acrylic painting by David, the letterpress version is a 6-color 11 x 17 print on chipboard. Limited edition of 200 copies at $35 each. Buy a copy here.

Another letterpress poster from the hand of Mikey Burton & Mikey Pierce of FarmBarn. The poster is promoting an upcoming lecture by the man himself, Mikey Burton, on January 21st at Ohio State University (Knowlton Hall). More info: Columbus Society of Communicating Arts

Some nice silkscreen and letterpress collaborative work coming from the crew at The Half and Half in Columbia, SC. The poster started as a 2 color silkscreen and was completed with a 1 color run on the Vandercook 219. Keep it up.

Another tasty Mikey Burton letterpress print for a zine project with Josef Reyes printed in collaboration with the Cranky Pressman.

Michael Dacey of Repeat Press released a sneak peak of the letterpress poster designed in collaboration with Kerry Simon of Proletariat that reads “Men in Denim Build this Country, Men in Suits Destroy it.” Printed on a Vandercook SP20 with both vintage wood type and custom woodcuts. Printed on chipboard in 4 colors all inked with a brayer to make each one of the 25 posters printed very unique. Kerry also recorded a short video seen below.
