Stukenborg: Iowa Letterpress Dice Prints

These letterpress prints by Stukenborg are amazing. Each print was letterpressed on a Vandercook by arranging over 1000 hand-inked dice per poster. Printed on white Stonehenge paper with deckle edges, the posters range in size from 16.75 x 20.75 ($100) to 22 x 26 ($250). Each pattern was printed in a limited edition of 10. Celebrating 10 years, Studio On Fire printed a 2010 letterpress calendar with four colors on a cotton-blend stock. Each month was illustrated by a selected designer. The collaboration includes Cecilie Ellefsen, Brian Gunderson, The Little Friends of Printmaking, ghostpatrol, Rilla Alexander and Studio On Fire. Get one before they are gone. $30 at their store.

Some nice silkscreen and letterpress collaborative work coming from the crew at The Half and Half in Columbia, SC. The poster started as a 2 color silkscreen and was completed with a 1 color run on the Vandercook 219. Keep it up.
